Encore, a Music Concert for Charity was first started in 2007 by the students of the Cathedral and John Connon School. It was a small endeavour started to find a way to support underprivileged communities and give back to society. After all these years, Encore has only grown to greater heights, allowing us to make a more significant difference in our community
Encore allows students to shape the future in a unique manner. At Encore, students are given a platform to display their extraordinary musical talents while raising funds for organizations to positively influence society.
Proceeds raised through this event would benefit the children and their caregivers at the Access Life Assistance Foundation.
Every year, 50,000+ children in India are diagnosed with cancer. While medical treatment is available, many underprivileged families travel from distant villages to big cities like Mumbai, seeking care for their child. But when they arrive, they often face an unimaginable struggle — no place to stay, no support system, and limited resources to continue treatment.
At Access Life Assistance Foundation, we believe no child should be denied a chance at life because of financial hardship or lack of care.
Since our inception, we’ve been providing free, safe, and loving ‘Home Away from Home’ accommodation near major cancer hospitals — giving families a place to heal, hope, and rebuild.
Access Life is a Mumbai-based NGO providing free accommodation, meals, transports to hospitals, and holistic support to underprivileged families of children battling cancer. In 11 years, we’ve supported 3,025+ children across 11 centres in 8 cities, with a goal to expand and support 500 families in the next 5 years.
